Help & FAQs
What are the different account types?
Venues: With a venue account, you can post events at your registered venue address (after venue verification) and start promoting them.
Musicians: Register your gigs as a musician at any venue or location (requires email verification, or admin verification for your account).
Event-goers: Save events, venues, and musicians in your account and never miss another gig (email verification required).
What type of events can I find?
On the app, you can find a wide variety of events including live music, bands and singers, pub quizzes, karaoke, open mic nights, DJ sets, comedy, and much more.
Is Live at The Local free?
Free accounts are available for all account types. User and Musicians accounts are completely free, whilst Venue accounts have a paid version that gives access to more features to help promote events.
How does the free Venue account work?
A free venue account allows the owner or manager of a venue to create an account and publish 3 events per month. This is a great way to try out the app to see how it works.
What is included in the paid Venue subscription?
LATL Partner costs £12.99 a month, or £99 a year with a 10-day free trial. It includes unlimited uploads and automatic repeat events, a gold pin and Partner badge on the map, your website and socials on every gig, notifications to your followers when you add a gig, 6 free featured gigs a year, Venue Insights and a weekly stats summary, and the option to offload all uploading admin to LATL. Optional event and venue boosts are available as separate in-app purchases.
What happens when a musician creates an event?
If a musician creates an event at a location that has a venue account, that event will be marked as requiring venue confirmation. The notification shows up in the venue account under 'pending verification'. Once confirmed by the venue, the event shows as 'Verified by the venue'. The event stays visible to all users before and after venue verification.
What happens when a musician creates an event that hasn't been verified by the venue?
These events are still live and visible, however, there is currently no venue account at the selected location. If you're performing and you know the venue, why not give them a nudge to sign up? The more venues on the app, the better your local music scene will be!
How do saved events, venues and musicians work?
All user types can save events and follow venues and musicians for quick access later. You can access this in-app from the side menu.
How are venues verified?
Venues are verified independently by the app team. Either through issuing a verification code to enter in-app or carried out remotely from our side.
